Job Description

We're looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Wexham.


Our practice offers a small, welcoming environment with a loyal client base and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. As an RVN, you'll play an essential role in supporting the clinical team, delivering exceptional patient care, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.


Located on the edge of Slough and just a short drive from Windsor, the practice is well connected, offering easy access to London and the M25.


This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, ideally starting as soon as possible. The role is full-time over 4 days per week. You'll also be part of a 1 in 6 weekend rota at our Medivet Watford 24-hour hospital.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. If relevant: Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
