An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy, well-equipped hospital in Dunfermline.
The Role
This is a varied role that will give you the chance to develop your skills across all areas of nursing, while working alongside a large, supportive team of dedicated professionals.
About Us
Inglis Veterinary Hospital is a long-established and progressive practice with 8 branches across Fife and Central Scotland. We are dedicated to providing outstanding patient and client care, and we run our own out-of-hours service. Our Cowdenbeath branch is proud to be a clinical training centre for RDSVS vet students.
Across our sites, we have excellent facilities including digital x-ray, advanced ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring, capnography, a full suite of laparoscopic and endoscopic equipment, cat-only waiting and consult rooms, and fully equipped laboratories.
Our Team and Culture
Our hospital team is made up of around 100 employees, including over 30 Registered Veterinary Nurses, supported by visiting specialists in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, and dermatology. We are passionate about development, with many of our vets and nurses currently studying for certificates. You'll be joining a vibrant, hardworking, and supportive team where collaboration and continuous learning are at the heart of what we do.
Working Hours
You will work 28 hours per week, spread across 3 days, with shifts between 7:30am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday on a rotational basis. You will also contribute to a fair 1 in 6 weekend rota, with stand-down time, and there is only a very occasional requirement for out-of-hours cover thanks to our dedicated Night Nurse team.
Applicant Requirements
We are seeking a qualified RVN who will thrive in a large, busy team environment. You will be flexible, proactive, and dedicated to maintaining high clinical standards while delivering excellent patient and client care. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
