We are looking for an experienced, confident and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse at Orwell Veterinary Group, based at Grange Farm Vet Hospital. You will be joining a large and supportive team, and the ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Nurse-led consultations and client care and/or Schedule 3 procedures.

About the practice




Orwell Veterinary Group is based in and around Ipswich, Suffolk. We are RCVS accredited and have 2 local consulting only branches. Our Grange Farm Hospital has 3 consulting rooms, 2 operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite, imaging room, ICU, Isolation, separate dog and cat wards alongside a spacious prep area. We have laprascopic equipment, dental radiography, a new ultrasound machine as well as the standard equipment you would find in a tier 3 hospital.

The surgery is based in Suffolk, near Ipswich where you will find a good mix between town and rural settings, the beach is not far away as well as being near a train station with a direct route into London.

Our practice currently has 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Nurses and a number of Support staff working variable hours across our 3 sites. We currently have a number of certificate holders in our veterinary team (or working towards certificates) including Surgery, Dentistry, Internal Medicine, Imaging and Cardiology. Our close-knit team are friendly, career driven and have a focus on clinical standards, Infection Prevention Control as well as driving to lower the use of antibiotics in practice. We encourage CPD and career progression.

About the Role




This is a varied and busy role where you will get involved in theatre/consulting work, cleaning, discharges, protocols and admin time as required. We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to hit the ground running and the role would be ideal for someone keen to upskill and develop.

Working Hours




40 hours per week preferred over 4 days. 1 in 6 Saturdays. Would consider part-time and different shift pattern.
