Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary care, demonstrating both technical skills and a genuine love for animals. As a Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients, assisting veterinarians in various procedures, and ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of animals in our clinic.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian. Monitor the health and behaviour of animals before, during, and after procedures. Perform laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis to assist in diagnosis. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments provided. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and post-operative instructions. Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the clinic environment, including equipment sterilisation. Provide support in managing the clinic's inventory of supplies and medications.

Skills

Proven veterinary experience is essential for this role. Laboratory experience is highly desirable to assist with diagnostic testing. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. Compassionate approach towards animal care and handling. Team player with a positive attitude towards collaboration within the veterinary team.
