Job Description

Due to maternity leave we are looking to recruit a RVN for either the 12 months maternity cover or ideally a full time position as our business continues to expand during that time.

- Full time position (40 hours per week) over 4 or 5 days

- 5 weeks annual leave with bank holidays and birthday leave

- RCVS and VDS fees paid

- CPD encouraged with generous allowance

```Duties```
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Assist in surgical procedures and monitoring anaesthesia
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Monitor animals during surgery and recovery
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient
- Occasional reception and light front-of-house cleaning duties

```Skills```

- Full training will be provided in all aspects of ophthalmology so no prior experience is necessary
- Laboratory skills: Ability to collect and prepare samples for testing, perform diagnostic tests, and interpret results
- Attention to detail: Ability to accurately record medical information and follow treatment plans
- Communication skills: Effective verbal and written communication with veterinarians, colleagues, and pet owners
- Compassion: Caring for sick or injured animals with empathy and understanding
- Organizational skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized work environment
