Care Today and Parallel Parents have over 40 residential homes ranging from 1 to 6 beds in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Staffordshire, Stoke, Yorkshire, East Midlands, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire. We aim to offer individualised child-centred packages with an emphasis on a return to family or, if not appropriate, to family living, which can be provided through our fostering services within Parallel Parents.

Care Today was founded in 1991.
The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, disciplined and enthusiastic full-time Regulation 44 Visitor to conduct monthly visits to our residential homes located across the country, including Worcester, Derby, Stoke, Hull, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Manchester, and Stockport.
This exciting new role requires a candidate with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audit checks and producing Ofsted-ready reports detailing the progress of children and young people since the previous visit. Management experience is preferred but not essential. Whilst our Head Office is in Stockport, you would use home as your base and Travel is also a vital component of this role.
A key focus of these visits will be to assess how each home supports children with enjoyment and achievements and how children are safeguarded at the home. The reg 44 visitor will also need to have a critical approach and conduct checks to determine that the home implements an effective approach to behavior support. The role will involve reviewing any records of restraint and missing person reports to verify that the home provides stable, safe, and secure care.
Where possible, visits will include interviews with children and young people, social workers and relevant others (parents, carers,relatives) Interviews with staff employed at the home are also a mandatory part of the visit. Following each visit, a comprehensive written report on the conduct of the home must be prepared, this will be made available to HMCI, LAs (where required), the Registered Manager, Responsible Individual.
