Job Description
The Regulatory Lawyer will provide legal support on regulatory, litigation, investigation, and wider related matters within the financial services industry, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. This temporary maternity cover role in London offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lean, fast-paced legal department.
- Advise on regulatory compliance and associated legal matters including investigations, litigation, competition, and data privacy, within the financial services industry.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements related to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to legal frameworks.
- Monitor changes in regulations and provide updates to the legal and compliance teams.
- Support the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Provide legal input on risk management strategies and assessments.
- Liaise with external counsel on complex legal issues when necessary
The successful applicant should have:
- A qualification to practise as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.
- Experience in regulatory law within the financial services industry.
- The ability to start a new role immediately for 12-months
- The ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide clear advice.
- A collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Day rate up to 500
- Hybrid working in central London
