About the role

As Senior Associate Regulatory Operations Ingredient Compliance, you will be responsible for operational impact assessment on the business of ingredient classification changes driven by several initiatives, from harmonised classification changes to self-classification changes and RSL driven restrictions and bans. You will be working as a single point of contact for the projects assigned to you, for example any labelling manual changes, RAC opinion adoption via ATP process.



Execution of Ingredient Compliance is a critical and integral part of Regulatory Operations and the wider Regulatory and Safety organization and, you will be single point of contact when the projects are initiated and have oversite through the execution and end to end implementation of the changes.



As a key member of the Ingredients Compliance team within our Global Regulatory Operations Team, you will the single point of contact for conducting the impact assessment, finalising the regulatory scope and strategy for transitioning to execution teams within the RAS operations team. You'll have oversight to ensure that all changes to Reckitt products for the assigned projects are completed in appropriate timeframes, in collaboration with the operations and local regulatory teams where necessary.



You will ensure operational excellence of your area of responsibility and will align on priorities and resourcing with the Manager Ingredients Compliance.



You will be a critical partner of cross-functional colleagues across the Regulatory Strategy and Operations and Consumer Safety and Risk Management/Vigilance, R&D, Supply, Sustainability, and Quality across Reckitt to ensure on time and ingredient compliance changes.

Your responsibilities

Responsible for driving consistency in your projects and to ensure expertise is applied in line with the agreed regulatory strategy to achieve in market ingredient compliance as per planned timings.

Reviewing and assessing a complex and diverse set of regulatory requirements and landscape overview across multiple markets to enable ingredient compliance and resiliency for all Reckitt business units.

Ensuring you work in collaboration with other X-functional technical functions like Safety, Quality and R&D as well as other RAS areas and local teams to define safety documentation requirements and data gathering.

Driving efficiency to deliver on Reckitt business ambitions.

Ensuring through your professional work ethics that ingredient compliance changes to formulations and artworks are delivered as per plans and that appropriate and aligned prioritization is implemented. This includes any relevant variation or dossier and artwork updates.


You will be ensuring you:


Provide regulatory input into data to deliver ingredient resiliency strategy through the ISG according to regulatory requirements (this applies to NPD, roll outs and post-launch product ingredients) Oversee implementation by operational and local regulatory teams for ingredient classification change projects, and documentation where it applies. Monitor ingredient classification changes, track and raise with appropriate RAS strategy and operational leads Build and develop relationships with key ingredient suppliers for example fragrance and flour houses


As an expert in Ingredient applications and registration activities, you will be up to date on external regulatory requirements and will work with Policy and Advocacy department to influence externally where appropriate industry led regulatory reviews and initiatives of direct relevance to Reckitt, in-line with Reckitt's strategic vision.

The experience we're looking for

You bring significant prior experience in regulatory affairs, with a strong track record of successful projects delivered. Knowledge or experience in creating multiple classification Regulatory Dossiers, through the entire portfolio and product lifecycle. You have the knowledge and understanding of global product development and maintenance for Reckitt products, rules, regulations, and guidelines current and emerging impacting ingredient compliance. You have high scientific credentials with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) / Master of Science (MS) degree in a relevant scientific discipline - such as Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Pharmacy, alongside significant applied industry experience. A PhD degree is a benefit but not a requirement. You are a creative, results focused, built on technical credibility, trust and strong relationships. Bias towards strategic vision, views & articulation with a credible foundation of delivery. Ability to consistently deliver to time, cost and quality standards in a high-pressure environment. Demonstrate courage and empathy and work collaborative cross-functional, through change by adopting a growth and compliance mindset. Strategic mindset with demonstrated ability to anticipate future trends accurately and has a broad knowledge and perspective on regulatory implications on ingredients used within formulation and fragrance and flavour portfolio's used within Reckitt and can adapt them to regulatory operations linked with dossier generation and product development. Ability to translate complex regulatory information into a compelling stakeholder friendly language. You have strong intellectual curiosity with an appetite for exploring new and previously unchartered territories and an openness to change with ability to think out of the box You are passionate about sustainability, have a sustainable growth mindset and will drive solutions around Reckitt's sustainability goals.
