An opportunity has arose for a band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant to join Keswick & Solway ICC up to 37.5 hours per week as either a secondment or fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be based with the Solway Community Rehabilitation team working across the beautiful Solway Plain and into the National Park. Based at Wigton Hospital you will see Patient's within community settings and the well established and innovative Rehabilitation Centre
We are looking for a motivated and caring individual, preferably with someone who is enthusiastic about rehabilitation, problem solving and self development. The post involves working as part of a team, and collaboration with other teams and servicing and lone working.
The Community Rehabilitation Team is a friendly interdisciplinary team, with staff who work together to facilitate early discharge from hospital or prevent unnecessary admission and provide a range of rehabilitation and anticipatory care services

A rehabilitation assistant in a multi-disciplinary team is expected to work with other health and social care professionals to develop the ethos of multi-disciplinary, integrated care and seamless services ensuring that patient care is delivered to the highest possible standard.
As a rehabilitation assistant reporting to a registered health professional, the post holder will implement rehabilitation plans for patients in the community and other settings, observe the patient's condition, providing direct care with a rehabilitation and therapy focus. This may include supporting patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.
Flexible working will be required to meet the needs of the patient group.
The ability to work over 7 days is a requirement of the post. The hours of work will be on a rota covering a shift pattern between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6 p.m.
