Valley Water Services Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Reinstatement Manager
to lead and optimise our reinstatement operations. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for managing the reinstatement department, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and cost
efficiency across all activities. The successful candidate will report directly to senior management and ensure all supervisors and staff under their remit comply with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the reinstatement department, reporting directly to senior management.
- Must be able to manage customer expectations and complaints.
- Ensure all supervisors and staff comply with company policies and safety standards.
- Oversee day-to-day reinstatement operations and support out-of-hours activities.
- Monitor and report on KPIs related to quality, productivity, cost, and compliance.
- Drive high standards of workmanship and ensure compliance with StreetWorks legislation (e.g.,NRSWA, TMA).
- Mitigate StreetWorks charges and penalties through effective planning and execution.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across materials, labour, and equipment.
- Champion a strong safety culture and conduct regular safety audits.
- Ensure reinstatement work is completed to a high standard, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders including local authorities.
- Represent the company professionally in reinstatement-related discussions.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 5+ years in a management or supervisory role within StreetWorks, utilities, civil
engineering, or reinstatement operations.
- Strong working knowledge of NRSWA, TMA, and other relevant legislation.
- Proven track record in improving operational performance and reducing costs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
- Experience with lean methodologies or continuous improvement frameworks.
