Relationship Support Manager- Leeds RM Support

Working with and supporting the Commercial Finance Brokers / Commercial Relationship Managers looking at early stage SME banking lending proposals. This will include doing research on the company / directors, know your customer / anti money laundering checks and prepare background information packs prior to customer meetings.
As your skills and experience grows there will be the opportunity to attend customer meetings with the Relationship Managers and participate in these meetings. Thereafter obtain all the relevant information from the customer to progress a lending application ensuring all our FCA compliance metrics are met.
You will then assist the Relationship Manager pull together credit proposals which are submitted to a range of funders to secure the lending facilities sought. You will liase with the funders and our customers through this process ensuring timely communication between all parties.
Once the customer has accepted the proposal, you will assist the Relationship Manager through the due diligence phase of the deal liasing with local professionals such as solicitors and reviewing property valuations, preparation of legal / security documentation and bank offer letters.
Finally, you will be responsible for ensuring the customer file is completed with all the necessary forms and overview documents before it is handed over to our compliance function for overview.
There will be an opportunity to establish and build a network of professional contacts ranging from solicitors, accountants and valuers by attending networking events and learning / development courses run by these professional firms.
You will also learn and develop a knowledge of the banking / funding landscape by meeting with lenders and learning their key differentiators and why customers should work with them.
You will be responsible for the social media accounts of the business primarily through Linked In and other social media channels. You will also be responsible for updating and maintaining the companys customer relationship manager platform and ensuring the accurate capture of data.
Periodically we run events for our customers and you will be responsible for organising the event through premises booking, issuing invitations, monitoring acceptances and ensuring adequate catering arrangements are made at the venue.
