Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Release & Deployment Manager based in London who will play a key role within Enterprise IT Service Engineering. This role is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of releases across multiple enterprise platforms and environments.
The position oversees the end-to-end release management lifecycle -- from scheduling and quality assurance to deployment and post-release validation -- ensuring operational stability, compliance with governance standards, and continuous improvement of release and deployment practices across the enterprise.

What you will be doing
Develop, manage, and continually improve the Enterprise IT release and deployment strategy, policies, and processes.
Lead the planning and coordination of complex, multi-system release schedules to ensure timely and controlled delivery of changes.
Own the Enterprise IT Release Calendar
Oversee the packaging, build, and deployment of applications across test, preprod, and production environments.
Collaborate with Applications Support, Platforms Engineering, DevOps, QA and Solution Design teams to ensure release readiness, including technical validation, rollback planning, and communication.
Ensure all releases are compliant with governance, change control, and risk management frameworks.
Manage release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and post-implementation reports.
Drive automation and tool adoption to improve release efficiency, consistency, and traceability.
Collaborate with Environment Management team to ensure Release calendar is aligned with environment strategy
Lead release retrospectives and implement lessons learned to enhance future deployments.
You will ideally have
Ideally successful candidates will hold at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. With any additional studies highly desirable.
Preferably candidates will have a proven background of experience in release, deployment, or DevOps roles, also within this additional proven experience in a leadership capacity.
Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of software development life-cycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, and ITIL change management principles.
Plus, ideally have proficiency in release management tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Octopus Deploy, Jira, ServiceNow).
Preferably candidates will have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills. Alongside strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Successful candidates will be skilled in process optimisation, automation, and cross-team collaboration.
Ideally candidates will have experience in setting up Release & Deployment function from scratch. Alongside proven experience managing large-scale enterprise software releases across complex environments.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to drive process improvements and manage change in a dynamic environment.
