Purpose




We are seeking a proactive and strategic Release Manager to support the end-to-end product and software delivery process, ensuring smooth, predictable, and high-quality releases. This role is pivotal in aligning cross-functional teams from capacity planning through to release execution, and requires a strong command of agile delivery practices, data analytics, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.


Reporting to the Vice President Product - Applications, the Release Manager will coordinate planning, execution, enablement, and communication activities across multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure successful and timely product and software releases.





Key Responsibilities







1. Strategic Capacity & Roadmap Planning




Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Delivery teams to

define and

validate quarterly and annual capacity plans. Support prioritization efforts by aligning team capacity with

product roadmaps and business

objectives. Use

historical data and velocity trends

to forecast delivery capabilities and highlight constraints.


2. Scalable Release Planning




Support

Release planning sessions

to synchronize efforts across multiple scrum teams and feature sets and securitise against release objectives. Develop detailed

release calendars

, interdependency maps, and milestone plans across products and platforms. Drive alignment between

technical delivery plans and business readiness

needs, including enablement timelines.


3. Data-Driven Delivery Monitoring




Design and maintain

real-time dashboards

to track progress across features, epics, sprints, and release trains.
Monitor KPIs including burndown charts, defect leakage, test pass rates, and deployment success metrics.




4. Coordination and Stakeholder Communication




Facilitate

cross-team scrums of scrums

and dependency syncs. Communicate timelines, scope changes, risk status, and release health via

transparent and structured reporting mechanisms

.


5. Internal Readiness and

Release Enablement


Partner with Go-To-Market, Sales, and Support teams to ensure

enablement materials, training, and FAQs

are delivered ahead of release. Lead

Release Readiness Reviews, Business Go/No-Go assessments

, and

stakeholder sign-off processes

. Coordinate early access programs, beta testing, and feedback loops to de-risk launches. Ensure comprehensive

post-release reviews and retrospectives

are conducted to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

. Continuous Improvement & Governance


Own and continuously evolve the

release governance framework

, templates, and best practices. Collect feedback from delivery teams and stakeholders to optimize release cadence, tooling, and process efficiency. Managing executive-level reporting (C-suite dashboards, release risk briefings).
Acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders at the highest levels.




Key Skills



Proven work experience as a Release Manager or similar role in project management / PMO leadership Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex software releases involving cross-functional coordination Deep knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Git, Aha, and associated product and engineering release solutions Experience with project management software Excellent knowledge of Product / Software Development Life Cycle (PDLC/SDLC) Strong problem-solving skills Strong problem-solving and risk management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in influencing and aligning stakeholders Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
