The Opportunity




Based onsite at Glensanda, the largest granite quarry in Europe, we now have an opportunity for a Reliability Operative. You'll join our existing team delivering production and ship loading operations across this impressive 6,000-acre site.


Working on a 7 on / 7 off shift pattern, you'll play a key, hands-on role in preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, condition monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Glensanda is only accessible via the Holcim UK ferry from Benderloch, so you can either commute daily or stay onsite in free en-suite accommodation, complete with a canteen, gym, sauna, and games room.

What You'll Be Doing




Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and inspections across fixed plant and associated equipment.


Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to minimise downtime and maintain asset performance.


Monitoring equipment condition and performance, reporting findings and recommending improvements.


Supporting continuous improvement activities, including equipment modifications and root cause analysis.


Maintaining accurate maintenance records and updating the site maintenance management system.


Ensuring high standards of housekeeping, safety, and compliance with all HSEQ requirements.


Supporting the preparation of RAMS and Safe Systems of Work.


Working closely with maintenance, production, and operations teams to ensure smooth and safe site operations.

Who you are




You'll have previous mechanical or maintenance experience, with a desire to build your career in a heavy industrial environment.


You're proactive and enjoy finding problems before they appear.
