Job Description

We are looking for a variety of drivers to cover ad-hoc tramping work for staff holidays and sickness, from our luton vans up to artics, to cover either one-off days, up to a couple of weeks at a time.

As a company we specialise in same day and dedicated shipments, and customer service is always key for us, so we highly recognise and value the importance of excellent drivers with them being the forefront and representation of our company on collection and delivery sites, so this would also extend onto our ad-hoc positions.

In terms of our general work, you can expect the following:

As this role is dependent on customer demand, there are no particular set working hours, however generally it is Monday-Friday work, but occasional weekend work may also be offered Our work can cover anywhere across the UK, so you will need to be willing to tramp out for the duration of the time you are covering for us. Overnight layovers will be paid in addition to your daily rate Occasionally we may get requirements for runs into Europe, so an in-date valid passport is essential Previous experience and confidence driving a commercial vehicle in busy cities, inclusive of Central London, is essential A minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience is essential Some physical and heavy lifting whilst loading and unloading will at times be required Previous tramping experience preferred Maximum of 6 penalty points on your driver's licence
