Job Description

As a Relief Cook with CrossReach, you will support our service by preparing meals that offer comfort, variety and good nutrition for older people. You will step in as needed to ensure our kitchen continues to run smoothly, providing dishes that meet personal tastes, dietary needs and service standards.

What Your Day Could Involve



Preparing balanced meals and snacks according to planned menus Catering for individual dietary requirements and preferences Maintaining hygiene and safety standards in line with regulations Assisting with special menus for events and celebrations Encouraging resident involvement in simple meal preparation where suitable

About You



You bring experience in a catering environment and enjoy producing meals that support wellbeing. You understand the importance of nutrition, safety, organisation and presentation. An Elementary Food Handling Certificate is required or can be completed on appointment. Basic computer skills and PVG Scheme membership are also needed.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
