Please note that previous applicants need not apply ** The Ancillary team at Pinderfields Hospital provides portering and linen services at our acute hospital sites in Wakefield, Dewsbury and Pontefract. To support and maintain the high standards that the service delivers we are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Relief Logistics Porter to join the Trust and become part of our busy team. Full-time post - 37.5 hours per week - 5 days over 7 and over a 24 hour period. ** Please note this advert may be closed earlier than the advertised closing date ** Main duties of the job Working as part of the operational portering team delivering essential items between wards and departments. The post holder will ensure that documents and items are delivered to and collected from wards and departments in a timely and efficient manner. The successful applicant will undertake a number of other basic portering tasks and undertaking other basic portering duties. The post holder will be responsive to the requirements of the service, sensitive to patients needs and courteous and caring to all service users. The duties allocated to the Non Patient Movement Porter may be routine planned tasks or require an immediate response to meet the demands of the Trust.
