As a Relief Logistics Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our logistics operations across multiple locations. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, assets, and premises by conducting regular patrols, monitoring CCTV systems, and controlling access at entry and exit points. Your duties will include performing routine security checks, responding promptly to incidents or emergencies, and accurately maintaining security and incident reports. You will also be required to liaise with site management and law enforcement as needed, and support the smooth running of daily logistics processes by adhering to all company policies and procedures.
This role requires flexibility as you will be covering shifts at various sites, sometimes at short notice, to ensure continuous and reliable security coverage. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a security environment, preferably within the logistics or warehousing sector. A valid SIA License and a full UK driving licence are essential. You must possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure. A professional approach, a high level of integrity, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are also vital for success in this position.
