- Temporary Packer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our workshop team through this busy period. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently preparing furniture for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.

The items are various small furniture such as coffee tables, side tables, console tables and so on. Larger items are packed in numerous parcels. The items weigh between 10-30kg therefore the successful candidate will need to be able to handle and manouver these items.

Responsibilities

Carefully select and pack items according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness Handle materials with care Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading lorries Conduct quality control checks to verify product integrity before dispatch Maintain organised workstations, ensuring a clean and safe environment at all times Collaborate with team members to meet daily packing targets and deadlines

Requirements

Previous experience in warehousing, picking & packing, or related roles is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during packing and load/unload tasks Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control processes Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team Physical fitness suitable for standing for extended periods and manual handling tasks

Hours:

8:30am-4:30pm - Flexible however mornings are essential as our collections are usually around 11am.

Pay: Dependant on age:

Age 18-20 10.40, Age 21 and over 12.40

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: 12.43-13.07 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
