About The Role





Transport Operations secures all home to school transport provision for students with special educational needs as well as transport to day care services for adults.



We are looking for a Passenger Assistant to join us working on a relief and ad hoc basis to cover absences based at our Warwick depot.



Working within a team, you can expect to be working on a split shift system that would include a morning shift working sometime between 7.15 am and 11.00 am and returning for the afternoon shift sometime between 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm.



You will be responsible for transporting adults and children to day care, respite placements and schools in Warwickshire which will include helping passengers, with learning or physical disabilities, on and off the bus, ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation, maintaining records as well ensuring the bus is clean and tidy after each use. A full package of training will be provided to support you in the role should you be successful.


Skills and Experience





To be successful in this role:


It's really important you are able to work on the split shift system. As you'll be working with a range of diverse people it's also important you have good communication and customer care skills and used to providing a courteous and sensitive service. With the ability to work on your own initiative; flexible in your approach, helping the wider team as necessary; you'll be used to handling confidential information with tact and discretion. It would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and have experience of working with young and elderly people as well as people with disabilities.
