Job Description

We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Relief Retail Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will provide essential security cover across a variety of retail locations, ensuring the safety and well-being of customers, staff, and property. You will be responsible for conducting regular patrols, monitoring CCTV, deterring theft and anti-social behaviour, and responding promptly to security incidents or emergencies. As a relief officer, flexibility is key, as you may be required to cover different shifts and locations at short notice, including weekends and public holidays.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent observational and communication skills, with a strong ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Previous experience in a security environment, particularly in retail, is highly desirable, and a valid SIA licence is essential. You should be able to build positive relationships with store staff and members of the public, while maintaining a firm approach to enforcing security procedures. Duties will also include completing incident reports, liaising with law enforcement where necessary, and assisting with loss prevention initiatives.
