We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment across our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and property. The Security Officer will be trained in surveillance techniques, loss prevention strategies, and first aid procedures to effectively respond to various situations.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Implement loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behaviour and intervening when necessary.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing assistance as required.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes.
Enforce access control policies by checking identification and authorisation of visitors and staff.
Provide first aid assistance in case of medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during critical incidents.
Experience
Previous experience in security or related fields is desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
Certification or training in first aid is preferred but not mandatory; training will be available for successful applicants.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert over extended periods.
