We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Relief Officer to join our team.
As a key member of our security provision, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients' sites and ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and assets.
As a Relief Officer, you will be expected to provide flexible support across multiple locations within an hour's travel of your home address by car, often stepping in to cover both planned and unplanned absences within our security teams.
You will be required to work a combination of day and night shifts, which may include weekends and bank holidays.
The Role
Responsible for the physical security of client premises
Conduct regular patrols
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action
Enforce access control and verify the identity of individuals on-site
Provide excellent customer service by assisting and guiding visitors
Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
Ensure high standards at all times, maintaining the professional image of ISS
Undertake induction and training as needed
Promote a safe and secure working environment at client sites
About You
Valid SIA licence
Proven experience in security or a related field
Strong observational and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
For vetting purposes: BS7858-compliant, documented 5-year employment/education history in the UK, plus 6-year address history in the UK
Valid driving licence
