Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to help cover holidays and sickness. As there are no fixed hours , this would suit someone recently retired or not able to commit to set hours each week. Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial and domestic premises. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning roles. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a safe and hygienic environment while working within a supportive team. Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, washrooms, and communal areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met Disinfect high-touch areas regularly to prevent the spread of germs Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any faults promptly Follow health and safety procedures at all times during cleaning activities Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, including carpet cleaning or window washing

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices is advantageous Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality Reliable with good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to follow instructions accurately and adhere to health and safety regulations Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, including early mornings or evenings if necessary
