Salary: 16.35 per hour, an unsocial hour element will also be paid in addition to the basic rate.






Working Pattern: Casual - Following a rota which includes nightshift only, on a casual/relief basis

Job Details






+ We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment. + Based in one of our 8 residential care homes, the successful candidate will undertake the keyworker role, this will involve creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans and keeping accurate records of support planning as well as, ensuring the service user is being offered the opportunities, experience and the care and support within their care plan. The role will also involve promoting the service users to access opportunities in their local communities and enabling them to continue to live a meaningful life. + We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people: the care homes also support a respite, STAR unit and day service. + Fife Council is committed to delivering services which are responsive, reliable, efficient, and effective. + A link to the role profile is included at the bottom of the advert. The Person






Must have or be able to work towards: SVQ 3 as required by the Scottish Social Services Council. Within the timeframes set at point of registration, once qualification achieved it is the persons responsibility to inform Scottish Social Services Council accordingly.


To ensure you achieve registration with the SSSC as part of the
Older

people's residential and day services requirement within 6 months of starting in a new role, you must apply for registration within 3 months of your start date on the register. To maintain your registration, you must hold or work towards the SSSC benchmark qualification for the role, complete the required Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) for the role and submit an annual declaration via

MySSSC

. The benchmark qualification for this role includes SVQ 3 or above. For more details about qualifications and timeframes, go to

If you do not currently hold a benchmark qualification, your registration will be granted subject to the condition that you achieve the required qualification within the timeframe defined by SSSC



Provide care and support which meets the Health and Social Care standards.


Must be able to work with other Council services and partner agencies to support the effective planning and delivery of care and support within our service.


You should be able to work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.



As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.






If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months. More details are included in the role profile






Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
