ASE Recruitment are specialist recruiters in the social housing and social care sectors providing temporary staffing to work within a variety of 24 hour supported accommodation services and floating support services for Housing Associations and Charities across the Northwest, Midlands, and Derbyshire.

We are looking for relief workers with weekend availability - own transport preferd due to location to join our team.

The main purpose of this role is to provide support in the community to people who have experienced homeless and / or have faced a multitude of barriers.

About the role:

You will help a service user to develop the skills needed to move on into independent living/permanent housing via a person-centred support package that is tailor made to suit the needs of everyone accessing the service. You will be expected to work within the organisation's charitable aims and objectives and contribute to the maintenance and development of the Association's values, culture, and ethos.

About you:

We are looking for an Adult Support worker with:

Experience of managing a caseload of service users; An awareness of issues relating to vulnerable individuals and those that have faced multiple disadvantages; Experience in helping others understand their goals and helping them to achieve an outcome; Skills in recording and reporting case notes via an online Customer Relationship Management system; Experience of working within safeguarding policies and procedures and of identifying, monitoring, and reporting safeguarding concerns; A flexible, resilient, thoughtful, therapeutic approach to working with people; Practical skills to support service users in activities of daily living required for independence; An ability to motivate and empower service users to have greater control and choice over their life and opportunities;

Candidates should have a current, Enhanced Adult DBS certificate, if you do not hold a valid DBS Certificate, they must be willing to apply for one.
