As a Relief Support Worker at Cale House, you will help make that happen. You will offer care when it matters most and encouragement when it is needed, supporting individuals to grow in confidence and independence. No two days will ever feel the same, but every shift will make a difference.

What Your Day Could Involve

Supporting people with daily living, personal interests and community activities Noticing changes in wellbeing and responding in a caring and appropriate way Helping to develop and carry out Personal Support Plans that are truly person centred Keeping accurate records and communicating clearly with external professionals Taking part in team meetings and ongoing training to build your skills and confidence

About You

You are someone who values people. You listen, you care and you understand that independence looks different for everyone.


You will have a recognised Social Care qualification at SVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or be willing to complete SVQ Level 3 within one year of starting. Basic computer skills will help you with record keeping and communication.


It is helpful if you have experience in social care, or additional qualifications such as addictions or counselling skills, but it is your compassion and commitment that matter most.


You will also need to be registered with the SSSC, a member of the PVG Scheme, and able to work within our Christian ethos.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
