Job Description

MorVend is a well-established and respected family-run business, and we're excited to offer a new opportunity to join our team as Relief Vending Machine Route Operator. This role is key to supporting the continued growth of our business, ensuring the smooth running of the operations department by primarily providing cover for designated routes during periods of annual leave and absence.

As a Relief Operator you will be responsible for re-stocking and cleaning a variety of vending machines across our existing customer base. The role will also include warehouse and wholesale delivery cover when required, alongside administrative tasks such as site audits and supporting or training colleagues. MorVend operates across the Southeast and north London, so flexibility to travel to any customer site is essential.

Key Responsibilities



You will be required to:

Clean and replenish coffee, snack, fresh food and cold drinks machines, maintaining excellent hygiene standards. Monitor and maintain sufficient stock levels, ensuring stock rotation and minimum waste. Collect and return cash from machines to the depot as required. Manage route information, stock levels and record any meter readings and data that is required via a mobile handheld device using our software system. Monitor vehicle stock to ensure adequate supplies are in place to complete all duties, and that all stocked items are managed efficiently avoiding damages and out of date product. Act as a positive and professional representative of the company and manage any customer related concerns. Maintain a proactive and can-do attitude, with a willingness to ensure machines remain fully operational. Carry out minor fixes, with the support of our engineering team, and report any major service issues promptly to our Service Desk. Liaise closely with the Operations Supervisor, and work cooperatively to fulfil requests that are made, to ensure a seamless service to our customers. Uphold Company policies, procedures and standards. Conduct machine audits and provide training or additional assistance to colleagues where needed. Support warehouse and wholesale delivery operations as required. Communicate effectively, work independently and show competency in time management. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business and our customers.
The role is a permanent position consisting of 40 hours per week with flexibility around working hours available.

Early starts are preferred with overtime regularly available.

Experience is not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided, but previous experience in driving and/or cleaning roles would be beneficial.

We offer 28 days of holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) with the opportunity to increase this to 33 days after periods of long service.
