Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Religious Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students in religious studies, fostering a deep understanding of various faiths, and promoting moral and ethical values. This role requires effective communication skills, creativity, and the ability to engage students in meaningful discussions about their beliefs and values.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum for religious education. Educate students on various religious beliefs, practices, and traditions. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages open dialogue and respect for diverse perspectives. Employ behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Assess student progress through various methods, including creative writing assignments and group discussions. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate religious education with other subjects such as Maths and physical education. Provide support for students with special educational needs, ensuring all learners have access to the curriculum. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Qualifications

A degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on Early Childhood Education or Religious Studies preferred. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents. Ability to manage classroom behaviour positively and constructively. Creative approach to teaching that encourages student participation and interest in religious education topics. Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous but not mandatory.
