Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Secondary Schools on a full-time and long-term basis.
Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Religious Educaton Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational All Boys Secondary Schools in Newcastle to start ASAP on a full-time and long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role:

  • The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allows all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
  • Stretching and challenging the learning and progress all pupils
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
  • Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner
  • Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
  • Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress
  • Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.

  • The role is based in an inspirational Secondary School in Newcastle.
  • The role is based at an All Boys School
  • The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team to provide an outstanding education for pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
  • Pay - Between 130-250 per day
  • Hours - 08.30-16.00
  • Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
  • Start Date - ASAP
  • Location - Newcastle
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
  • An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
  • QTS and Secondary School Teaching experience within the UK.
  • A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or a related field
  • Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
  • Strong subject knowledge
  • Ability to teach up to KS5
  • Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
  • A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
  • Experience of Teaching within the UK
  • A genuine passion for Teaching
