Job Description

A brand-new role for the business, the Remedial Works Manager will oversee and manage all site requirements and service delivery aspects of our remedial projects including replacement of Fire Dampers & Firestopping, ensuring high-quality standards. The role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and site team management experience.

The focus of this job is on achieving results which are aligned with the business's strategic goals.

You will have the ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment, whilst maintaining high standards and compliance. The job requires the ability to act independently, a sense of urgency and the confidence to handle a variety of challenges.

We require a leadership style that is motivational, firm and goal focused whilst engaging and collaborative with the team.

Key Responsibilities:



Oversee all site requirements and service delivery aspects of our Fire Damper Remedial projects. Ensure all works comply with current BS 9999 & BESA DW145 Regulations & BM Trada / FIRAS Standards. Liaise with Operations Support team on site and service delivery needs Site Management, managing teams of technicians & subcontractors. Manage lead mechanical technicians - including people management, training and day to day needs Carry out 1:1's, appraisals and be the first point of call for HR issues, with the support of our HR Department. Conduct regular site inspections, competency checks and audits. Liaise with various departments & clients to address project requirements and resolve any issues. Develop and maintain project documentation, including review of risk assessments, method statements, and reports. Implement & monitor health and safety across all projects.

Skills & Experience:



Proven experience in a similar role Excellent project management and organisational skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. o Competency in using relevant software and tools inc. Microsoft Office. Accreditation from recognised fire safety bodies (e.g., FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent) would be desirable however not essential
Technical knowledge not essential but preferred.

Experience of managing site-based projects & staff. IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable). SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable)
UK Driving Licence.

Ability to obtain DBS and security clearance. Experience working in prisons or high-security sites (desirable). Willingness to travel as required. Hybrid Role - Mix of office & home/site hours
