We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a part-time Dental Receptionist to join our team. This role is primarily remote, working from home, with occasional requirements to support our practices in Plymouth and Saltash.
The position is 30 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday. However, there may be requests for cover during evenings or weekends at short notice to complete these hours.
You will join our established home-based and in-practice team, providing essential administrative and reception support to ensure the smooth running of our services.
The ideal candidate must be a flexible, friendly, motivated and a forward-thinking individual with excellent people and communication skills. Computer skills and the ability to work under pressure are a must to provide the level of customer service that our patients deserve.
Some experience in a dental field would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be given.
Your role will include, but will not be limited to:
Welcoming and assisting patients during their visit to the practice
Answering telephone calls, emails and contact enquiries from our website platform with efficiency and professionalism following the strict GDPR guidelines
Scheduling appointments using R4 booking system
Delivering high-quality administrative support to enhance group efficiency, effectiveness, and occupancy
Processing patient payments accurately
Discussing treatment plans with patients in a clear and supportive manner
Providing administrative support by use of Microsoft teams as a communication method to both the remote and clinical teams across all areas of practice operations
Skills
Proven medical office experience with a strong understanding of administrative functions.
Previous medical administrative experience is highly desirable. Dentistry preferred but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
