Newson Health Limited is a CQC-registered menopause and wellbeing clinic, established in 2018. We are dedicated to providing expert, compassionate care to women of all ages experiencing perimenopause, menopause, PMS, or PMDD.



While we operate physical clinics in Stratford-upon-Avon and Central London, we also deliver a large volume of virtual consultations--allowing us to reach and support women across the UK.

The role of a Menopause Specialist




Your primary focus is providing patients with support and advice. However, you will also be liaising with members of your admin team and other clinicians on a daily basis.

Roles and Responsibilities



Deliver a quality consultation and provide treatment options available to individuals based on their medical history, personal preferences and up to date best practice/research. Resolve patient related tasks and queries raised outside of the consultation appropriately and in a timely manner. Keep up to date with the clinic's prescribing guidelines, pathways, policies, working ways and clinical templates. Operate within the Newson Health Clinical Governance framework including being professional, responsible and proactive in identifying and helping manage, risks, near misses and significant events. Work efficiently and effectively with your allocated administration support team, building a good working relationship of mutual support and respect. Prescribing medication, in accordance with prescribing guidelines.

Skills, experience and person attributes



Able to manage a high volume of patients all with varying needs and complexities. Effective time management skills, particularly regarding balancing the need for an excellent patient experience with the need to be effective and productive. An understanding or appreciation of how income from clinical services directly impacts the financial health of the organisation. A positive, 'can do' attitude, open to new ideas and ways of working. Ability to problem solve and navigate ambiguous situations (clinical and non-clinical). Confidence in managing difficult conversations or situations. A commitment to caring for others, emotional resilience, resourcefulness and stamina. Problem-solving skills to think ahead and plan for different contingencies, anticipating different situations that might occur. Takes a keen interest in Newson Health activities, forums, research and events. Keeps well versed on Newson Health projects and best practices and is curious about work in progress and future possibilities.

Qualities of a great candidate



Clinical expertise - to be a Menopause Specialist we are looking for a GP with MRCGP or equivalent with a good employment record in primary care. Having completed the 'Confidence in the Menopause' course via the Teachable platform, you will have a passion for the menopause and women's hormonal health and wellbeing. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to your continuous professional development through attending lectures, talks or pursuing further qualifications in this area. You will be confident in prescribing HRT and have a thorough understanding of the health benefits and any risks of different treatment options. Consultations will take place virtually but successful candidates will be based in the United Kingdom and attend an induction day in Stratford upon Avon.

We are seeking a commitment of

2 or more days per week.
