About the Role



We're not looking for just another property manager. We're searching for a

Remote Portfolio Manager

with ambition, skill, and drive to oversee and elevate the performance of a privately owned, high-value property portfolio.

Our portfolio is primarily made up of

HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation)

, so the ideal candidate will already be a pro at running HMOs to the highest standard. This is a

dynamic and pivotal role

that blends

property management, financial oversight, and strategic growth

You'll work closely with estate agents, mortgage brokers, and our remote financial controller to ensure everything

runs efficiently

rent collection and occupancy rates to refinancing and sales progression

Key Responsibilities



HMO Property Management



Oversee the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, ensuring properties are well-maintained, compliant, and tenant-ready. Act as the first point of contact for independent estate agents managing parts of the portfolio.

Rent & Occupancy Management



Manage and monitor rent collection across the portfolio. Ensure

100% occupancy levels

by working proactively with estate agents to source and secure quality tenants.

Maintenance & Compliance



Oversee and coordinate maintenance issues quickly and effectively. Ensure full compliance with HMO licensing and property standards.

Financial Collaboration



Work closely with the Remote Financial Controller, providing timely and accurate updates on rent rolls, expenditure, and cash flow to support smooth financial operations. Communicate directly with our investors, representing the portfolio with clarity and professionalism.

Refinancing & Sales



Take the lead on portfolio refinancing and sales activities. Liaise with mortgage brokers, solicitors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient progression of refinance and sales.

Strategic Oversight



Contribute to the growth and optimisation of the portfolio through proactive problem-solving and process improvements. Maintain strong communication with the Founder/CEO, providing regular updates and recommendations.

Key Skills & Experience



Essential:



Proven experience in managing HMOs within the UK market. Strong knowledge of property compliance, licensing, and landlord/tenant law. Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities remotely. Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with estate agents, tenants, and contractors. Financial acumen and ability to collaborate effectively with the financial controller. UK driving license.

Desirable:



ARLA/Propertymark or equivalent property management qualification. Previous experience managing portfolios in the Home Counties and Midlands. Tech-savvy, with ability to use property management systems and financial tracking tools. Experience working with brokers, solicitors, and lenders during refinances or property sales (preferred but not essential).
