Robert Half are excited to once again be partnering with a long-standing client form the Technology sector as they seek a Tax Manager to join their team. This is a newly created position brough on by continuous growth in the finance function and will partner with their external tax advisors to ensure procedures and process are taking place throughout the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a strong understanding of UK taxation, ideally have started your career in an accountancy practice, and have proven experience of working with similar size organisations on their taxation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define the long-term Tax Roadmap and align it with the needs of the business and other key senior leaders in the business.
  • Lead project-based work, working with external advisors to deliver and prioritise.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of all corporate tax returns, including UK as well as US federal, state, and international taxes.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
  • Work with finance operations to have oversight of VAT, and Global Sales Tax and review returns prepared by junior team members.
  • Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax provision calculations, tax-related financial disclosures, and compliance with tax reporting requirements under IFRS.
  • Identify and mitigate tax-related risks by implementing effective internal controls, tax planning strategies, and compliance procedures. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company\'s tax position and overall risk profile Help to develop, formalize and execute well controlled tax and tax compliance processes within the business.
  • Manage transfer pricing policies and documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain arm\'s length pricing for intercompany transactions.
  • Liaise with the game development teams closely to be an effective and reliable tax business partner and identify where opportunities and risks exist.
  • Work with the finance team Represent the company in tax audits, inquiries, and disputes with tax authorities. Prepare and review responses to tax notices and coordinate with external tax advisors and legal counsel as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • CTA Qualified (or equivalent) with experience as a tax professional post-qualification
  • Proven experience of building strong relationships with multiple senior stakeholders and teams on a remote basis.
  • An organised and structured approach to work, with experience of successfully keeping track of multiple ongoing projects at once.
Salary and benefits:

Along with exceptional company benefits the role of Tax Manager is offered with a salary of up to \xc2\xa370,000 plus bonuses. Although it will be necessary to travel to the Cambridge office from time to time this role should be considered mostly remote working.
