Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated volunteers for the role of Support Volunteer at Suicide Prevention. Based remotely, this role is vital in helping us deliver our mission to support those in need while fitting around your personal commitments.

Responsibilities

Provide empathetic support via instant messaging and email to individuals seeking help. Assist with mental health training sessions for volunteers. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Collaborate with the volunteer team to ensure timely responses. Support the organization's mission by promoting mental health awareness. Use communication skills effectively to connect with individuals. Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for those seeking help.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills and empathy. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Basic IT skills for managing online support platforms. Fluency in English. Experience or interest in mental health or dementia care is a plus but not essential. DBS checks are preferred but can be arranged during training. Dedication to volunteering and supporting mental health initiatives.
