Summary of role

We are looking for an individual to join our team in Tavistock, to assist us in carrying out household removals, experienced preferred but not essential. We are currently looking for a driver on a 4 day contract with the potential for extra days.

Day to day operations will consist of carrying out removals, liaising with customers, packing of household goods, furniture assembly, warehousing and completion of job paperwork. As well as general housekeeping such as cleaning down vehicles and warehouse organisation.

You will be expected to drive both locally and across the, UK so you must have a reasonable knowledge of the local area, as well as the UK.

The successful applicant must be reliable, trustworthy, enthusiastic and energetic. You will be joining an established family business working as part of a small team.

You need to have good time management skills, have good leadership skills and communication skills as well as a positive attitude to hard work.

You need to have a clean UK driving licence and must be 25 and over

Days: 4

- expected 36-38 Hours Per week

Salary: 110 - 125

(before tax) per day depending on experience

Annual leave: 23 days

We mainly carry out local moves however we do cover the UK, so the applicant will be required to sometimes spend nights away. In these circumstances you will receive an additional 30 overnight allowance

Shift start and end times might vary due to key waits and distance moves, with start times between 0700-0800 hrs. finish times between 1600-1800 hrs.

Be mindful that a large amount of manual lifting and walking is involved with this job role. This job role is physically demanding and involves moving, packing and supporting with the storage of our customers furniture. You will be required to lift heavy items.
