Duties

Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records for tracking purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist with basic mechanical tasks as needed to ensure vehicle functionality.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within a warehouse environment. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients effectively. Experience operating flatbed lorries is preferred but not essential. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
