Removals Operative progressing to LGV Driver (Class 2)

Apprenticeship Scheme | Full-Time | Permanent

We are looking for motivated individuals who want job satisfaction, teamwork, and a clear career path. You will be part of a professional removals team, helping deliver high-quality moves while progressing to an LGV Class 2 Driver through our fully funded apprenticeship scheme

You will be responsible for moving and handling customers' household and personal possessions on jobs across the UK and Europe

Key Responsibilities:

Learn the role by shadowing experienced operatives and senior team members Communicate positively with customers and colleagues Pack, wrap, load, unload, and move goods safely and efficiently Work as part of a close-knit team and support colleagues during busy or delayed periods Maintain excellent timekeeping and be ready to start work on time Remain positive and professional, especially when clients may be under stress Assist with all types of moves, including household and office relocations Complete job paperwork accurately Follow all Health & Safety procedures and act as a banks-person when required

This is a physical role that requires both hard work and patience, as delays can sometimes occur.

Experience & Qualifications:

Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 points) Excellent timekeeping and reliability Live within 15 miles of our Ipswich Branch (IP1 4HE) Can-do attitude and strong work ethic Good common sense Excellent customer service and organisational skills

Desirable Experience

Light commercial or delivery driving Removals industry experience Warehouse or forklift experience

Pay & Benefits

12.70 per hour as a Removal Operative 13.70 per hour once qualified as an LGV Driver 14.70 per hour after one year's LGV experience Fully funded LGV apprenticeship (lessons, medical & tests included) 40+ hours per week (Monday to Friday, finish times may vary) Occasional nights away and weekends paid at enhanced rates 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays Company pension Career development opportunities Employee referral scheme Company events Free on-site parking
