Job Title: Self-Employed Renewable Energy Sales Consultant



Location: Home-Based (West midlands and East midlands, with travel to client locations)



Job Overview


We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Self-Employed Renewable Energy Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. Backed by one of the world's leading players in renewables, we offer a unique, market-leading solar and renewable energy product. In this role, you will educate potential clients about solar energy solutions, guide them through the sales process, and help them make informed decisions to meet their energy needs.

As a home-based consultant, you will receive approximately 20 high-quality leads per week, which you will qualify and convert into appointments within three days. Earnings range from 300 to 2,000 per sale, depending on project size and complexity. Success in this role requires strong negotiation skills, exceptional client relationship management, and the ability to work independently, including evenings and weekends as needed. Full training will be provided for the right candidate, making this an excellent opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities



Engage with potential customers to assess their energy needs and recommend tailored solar and renewable energy solutions. Conduct thorough consultations to explain the benefits of solar energy, addressing client questions and concerns. Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and timely follow-ups. Negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the installation team to ensure a seamless transition from sale to project completion. Manage your schedule efficiently, prioritizing appointments and follow-ups to maximize productivity. Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, and competitive offerings to provide expert recommendations. Utilize IT tools (e.g., CRM software, Microsoft Office) for lead tracking, customer management, and sales reporting.

Qualifications



Proven experience in B2C solar sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred; B2B experience in renewables or energy sectors is also valuable. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-making and close sales. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to convey information clearly and professionally. Demonstrated customer service expertise with a focus on building lasting client relationships. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced, self-directed environment. Proficiency in IT applications (e.g., CRM systems, Microsoft Word, Excel) for sales tracking and customer management; experience with design-based tools (e.g., CAD) is a plus. A valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are essential for client visits. Access to a personal laptop for managing sales activities and communications. Articulate, presentable, and self-motivated, with a proven track record in independent roles.
