Job Description

Reporting to the Customer Service Delivery Manager or General Manager, The Renewable Power Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Renewable Power Division in the depot. This role involves leading the team to achieve Operational Excellence and consistently meet or exceed customer service levels.

About You!



Qualifications - Essential



Level 3 in Electrical instillation, City and Guilds MBPA Level I & II certified Earthing & Bonding qualified Solar Photovoltaic (PV) certified. Generator Awareness certified CSCS Works Card

Qualifications - Preferred



18th Edition Electrical Temporary Power Systems BS:7909, City and Guilds

Experience - Essential



3 years+ delivering a similar role. 2 years+ Generator Mechanical Technician operational role

Skills



Effective organisational competence, able to manage multiple tasks. Effective prioritising skills, to maintain order in busy depots. Effective communication skills to support and guide the division effectively. Verbal and written, internally, externally, up, down and horizontally. Health & Safety Awareness with risk Assessment experience. Fully competent in all safety protocols and regulations related to depot operations. Excellent attention to detail specifically in quality control and safety compliance. Product knowledge excellence. VRM and remote monitoring knowledge excellence - including, but not limited to, diagnostics, trend identification and remote issue resolution.

About the Role!



Management of the Renewable Power team. Ensuring that work is distributed equitably and efficiently to ensure product is available to meet hire requirements, breakdowns are dealt with promptly and preventative maintenance is carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ensuring that there is always management supervision during operational hours by either the Manager or Foreman. Cover for the Foreman in their absence. Evaluating work practices and implementing improvements aimed at minimising cost and maximizing productivity. Ensuring there is adequate staff resource in place by managing holiday requests and absences. Managing overtime requirements. Ensuring all Site Renewable services / repairs are carried out correctly. Ensuring all Site Renewable items returned from hire is carefully inspected and issues managed accordingly. Ensuring new Site Renewable items are tested before being booked into fleet in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. Ensuring the Renewable division areas are maintained and secured at all times, all required designated areas are clearly marked and equipment is stored in the appropriate areas. Ensuring the workshops and yard areas are maintained in tidy, clean and hazard free condition. Recruitment of new team members Ensure the training of the team is maintained. Management of team performance, managing underperformance whilst supporting team development. Ensuring the team are complying with all company procedures and, in particular, Health & Safety procedures, Health & Safety Directives and the Company's P.P.E. requirements Ensure adequate levels of safety clothing and equipment are maintained, ensuring all staff in the team are aware of the safety equipment and clothing appropriate to each task they perform in accordance with the Company's P.P.E. requirements.
