The Role
This position blends technical design expertise with customer-facing sales support, ensuring that every project is accurately specified, well-communicated, and smoothly handed over. You'll work closely with customers, the renewables team, and operations to deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions.
You'll be responsible for:
Responding to new enquiries in person, via phone and email and providing technical
advice on renewable solutions
Preparing detailed heat loss calculations, solar PV designs, and EV charging layouts
Supporting the sales process by producing accurate quotations for heat pumps, solar PV,
and integrated systems
Preparing handover packs for customers and ensuring a smooth transition to the
aftersales team
Handling technical documentation such as DNO applications (G99/G98), MCS certificates,
and compliance records
Assisting with annual service quotes and setting up recurring aftersales jobs
Collaborating with colleagues in operations, aftersales, and accounts to maintain high
standards of delivery and customer care
About You
We're looking for someone technically minded, with a good understanding of renewable energy systems and an ability to explain them clearly to customers.
Essential experience:
Strong IT and software skills, with the ability to use (or quickly learn) renewable design and
sales tools
Excellent communication skills, with confidence in customer-facing situations
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at different stages
Desirable
Previous experience in renewable energy, electrical design, or a related technical role
Sales or business development experience within renewables or a technical industry
Knowledge of compliance processes (MCS, DNO applications, insurance)
Familiarity with system design software (training provided on our existing systems)
Above all, you'll have the right attitude and willingness to learn
