Rent & Service Charge Officer
and play a key role in delivering fair, accurate rent and service charge services for our customers.
This role offers excellent flexibility, with the majority of your work carried out from home. There will be occasional travel to our offices in Grimsby or Boston, giving you the chance to connect with colleagues and collaborate in person when needed.

You'd be an ideal candidate if you had...
Strong analytical capabilities, with advanced proficiency in Excel and a keen eye for detail.
Proven experience in roles requiring effective planning, organisation, prioritisation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong digital literacy, with the ability to navigate systems confidently and use data to support decision-making - sourcing, collating, and interpreting management information to meet role objectives.
A strong sense of pride in your work, with the motivation to problem solve and investigate further when required, a real self starter!
A methodical approach, with a clear understanding of the importance of adhering to policies, procedures, and financial controls.
AAT Qualified Level 2 or equivalent (desirable).
What would a typical week look like:
Review and reconcile rent and service charge data.
Respond to customer queries via email or phone, ensuring clear and timely communication and maintaining a positive experience.
Attend a virtual team meeting to discuss priorities and share updates.
Work on annual rent-setting calculations and service charge reviews, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
Analyse large datasets in Excel to check accuracy and identify any anomalies.
Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and Housing teams to confirm property details.
Prepare rent and service charge calculations for new or re-let properties.
Review data Open Accounts and run reports if required.
Join a cross-departmental call to resolve any outstanding queries.
Support internal or external audits by providing requested documentation.
Review cost allocations and ensure correct charges are reflected against properties and schemes.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and share ideas with the team.
Finalise reconciliations and ensure all tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
Take some time out from your desk and meet LHP colleagues on a Neighbourhood walkabout.
Plan priorities for the following week and complete any required compliance training.
