We are looking for an experienced

Rent Coordinator

to join our busy team, you will need to be a proactive team player who uses your own initiate and resourcefulness to complete your duties. You will be responsible for ensuring effective rent collection processes and ensuring all tenancies are manged through the rent collection system. The role will include taking action to ensure prompt payment of rent and taking appropriate action where this is required. You will be required to maintain rent arrears and to take action in managing these agreements including enforcement and evictions.

Cromwood office in E5 9BQ

Working hours

: Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm

Contract:

Full time, permanent

Salary:

32,000 per annum

Duties and responsibilities include:



Responsible for maintaining good rent collection processes. Responsible for ensuring tenancies are added onto the rent collection system. Responsible for ensuring the rent levels are correctly calculated in accordance to the GLA criteria. Take appropriate action to encourage tenants to set up payment plans for rental arrears. Work alongside with lettings team, housing officers and Support working for effective results. Take appropriate action to manage the collection of rent to ensure accounts are kept up to date. Initiate any action required to manage the tenancy including court action for rent arrears or breaches of the tenancy agreement. Initiate rent Guarantee insurance claims where applicable. Responsible for ensuring the pre-action protocol is followed prior to eviction action.

Requirements for the role include:



Experience in rent collection and managing tenancies Experience of taking action to manage tenancies Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Excellent knowledge of the benefit system Strong attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent people skills A collaborative and team-oriented mindset Able to respond quickly to changing demands Good record keeping skills Good knowledge of landlord tenant legislation (Desirable) A relevant housing/property qualification (Desirable)
