Originally from the Military sector we have a fundamental understanding of quality & robust electronics design in tough environments. We now offer these skills and experience to the public, commercial and industrial sectors in order to resolve issues on a wide range of PCB based products and developments.
We are looking for a new employee for our growing engineering department, to take on a wide range of responsibilities. Do you have experience working at with fine and/or delicate processes, such as model painting/building, artistic media or other crafts? You may have transferable skills that could suit you for this role.

Role:
Repair Technician
Responsibilities:
Follow diagnostic procedures to identify faults, as well as investigate faults without the assistance of instructions.
Use testing documentation, such as technical drawings, circuit diagrams, board layouts etc. as well as electronic test equipment, loaders, power supplies etc.
Update database with detailed account of investigative process, repairs carried out and testing results
Soldering/Desoldering processes including through hole and surface mount (down to 0603 preferred, but not essential)
Managing customer communications via email throughout ordering process
Liaise with other departments to ensure efficient flow of orders
Keep a safe and tidy working environment
Desirable Additional Skills
In additional to the basic skills required of an electronics technician the following attributes will affect the offered salary:
Experience with fault finding with and without the aid of circuit diagrams.
Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices
Ability to adapt working style to contribute and enhance overall team performance.
Can communicate technical information effectively to array of audiences with ranging technical awareness.
Knowledge of analogue and digital circuits
Experience using an oscilloscope
Experience with PCB layout software
Qualifications
A vocational engineering (electronics/manufacturing) qualification (BTEC, HNC, HND, NVQ, etc.) or Bachelor's degree or higher in electronics, although all other candidates will be considered if they have significant hands-on experience. Candidates will be required to conduct a skills test to demonstrate the practical skills required at the level of the role.
