Your Role:

Every Reporter is responsible for seeking out and bringing stories to life on our award-winning website, in print and other emerging platforms. One day you could be making sure the content shines online while the next you could be sending in videos from a live scene. If you thrive in a role that offers variety then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Day to day:

Source and produce first-class news content Write snappy, accurate copy and headlines in The Scottish Sun's unique style directly into Wordpress Contribute to video ideas and emerging platforms including TikTok Bring in agenda-setting scoops and exclusives that chime with Scottish Sun readers Independently build contacts to maintain a steady flow of original news stories. Write in a concise and entertaining way in keeping with Scottish Sun style but free from cliche. Interview people in a range of different circumstances. Be mindful of IPSO and legal issues

What we're looking for from you:

Experience of reporting or writing for a newspaper or magazine, online or in print Excellent writing skills and the ability to produce copy which is crisp and accurate and to a fast, live deadline while maintaining quality Keen attention to detail and unflappable under the pressure of a breaking story Passion for all things news, celebrity and current affairs An energetic, enthusiastic and story-hungry individual Someone who is keen to make their mark Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment A sense of humour and positive energy. Knowledge of IPSO regulations
