We're looking for an experienced Reporting Account to join our office-based Finance Team.
What you will be doing
Assist with the month end finalisation of the business P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow ready for review by Reporting Manager.
Prepare monthly P&L and KPI analysis, calling out key drivers in period vs forecasts/budgets/targets.
Responsible for preparation of weekly flash report packs, presenting output to management.
Analyse customer and product profitability.
Assist with pricing strategy and tender appraisal and submission.
Prepare presentations for Board, wider management and task group meetings.
Prepare compliance reporting for VAT, (including EEC VAT reporting) Intrastat, EC Sales list etc
Assist in special projects and requests involving general accounting systems.
There will also be the opportunity to assist in other areas to broaden your experience, including:
Lead/assisting the month-end close.
Support the year-end accounting process.
Assist in internal control reviews.
Assist in special projects and ad hoc requests.
People development and management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Recently qualified or Part qualified ACCA CIMA (if part qualified must be currently studying and passing exams. Must be within 12 months of qualification).
Technical accounting skills; good understanding of accounting standards
Able to analyse and model financial data, identifying trends and providing commentary
Highly proficient IT user, including Excel, Outlook and accounting Software
Good understanding of end to end distribution business process
Experience in financial planning and analysis within FMCG desirable
