The post holder will be employed as a reporting radiographer for King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. They will contribute to clinical reporting, radiography and will participate in departmental leadership in conjunction with key senior staff.
The post holder will hold appropriate in-depth experience, knowledge and will have undertaken detailed theoretical study to enable them to undertake clinical reporting autonomously within their scope of practice. They will be experienced in reporting both trauma and non-trauma examinations (within their scope of practice) to a high diagnostic standard and will be able to demonstrate evidence of routine performance audit and/or review.
They will provide professional leadership, training and mentorship in clinical reporting and image acquisition. They will be responsible for contributing to the support and development of junior and trainee staff and students. They will be a role model for their peers and encourage high standards of patient care and professionalism.
The post holder will demonstrate, acquire and maintain an excellent level of skill and knowledge in all aspects of radiology relevant to their scope of practice, and is responsible for maintaining their own personal development. There is particular emphasis at King's on the need to ensure that all staff recognise their responsibility to deliver services in a high quality, courteous, patient focused manner always maintaining patient confidentiality.
Each reporting radiographer will agree a job plan that will document their duties and responsibilities. These duties and responsibilities may vary dependent on the employee's scope of practice, area of expertise and special interests that support the service demands.
