Job Description

JOB PURPOSE



To develop and maintain a strong online presence for the School, promoting current events and successes internally within the school and externally to the local and wider community

Develop a positive and collaborative relationship with the community, local businesses and press

Design and production of marketing materials

To develop and maintain external communication through our online presence, particularly through social media

To maintain our internal communication tools such as digital signage and key displays throughout the site

To organise key events

To ensure the corporate branding documents are adhered to across all communication going out from the school

To ensure the overall high quality of all communications, particularly the highest of standards around spelling, punctuation and grammar

To provide a high quality, efficient service to the school and wider community in the field of Reprographics

To communicate with our IT Support team to ensure that all machines in Reprographics are maintained to a high standard and within manufacturers guidelines

To provide administrative support for subject and senior leaders across the school as required

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MEDIA & COMMUNICATION:



To be responsible for the design and production of the following marketing materials;

School prospectus

School advertising (newspapers, radio, billboards etc.)

Bespoke marketing material

Termly newsletter

Event publications i.e. concerts/shows etc.

Open Day and transition material

Sourcing materials for press releases and liaising with the Local Press.

Developing and managing our online presence through all suitable social media channels and the school's website

EVENTS



To organise high quality events across the school year:

Open Day

Presentation Evenings

CORPORATE IMAGE



To have responsibility for managing and developing our corporate image, including internal and external signage, in conjunction with the leadership team

PRINTING



To photocopy and print work within the agreed timetable, to as high a quality as possible

To provide a laminating service

Booklet creation

PRINTERS



Simple maintenance of photocopiers across the school (toner change, paper clogging etc.) and contact engineers as necessary to ensure availability of equipment.

To replenish paper in photocopiers across the school daily.

EVENTS



Assist the Marketing & Media Officer with organising School events such as Presentation Evening, Step Up Day etc.

PROOF READING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE



High standards of spelling, punctuation and grammar

Able to proof read and quality assure the work of others to ensure these are error free

PROBLEM SOLVING AND CREATIVITY



Works to high standard of accuracy and thoroughness

To set charges at an appropriate level to ensure appropriate profit margins

Maintain paper orders to meet printing demands

DECISION MAKING



Prioritise and plan own work schedule

Follow school Health and Safety guidelines

Working within an office where machines predominate, this produces additional heat and noise

CONTACTS AND RELATIONSHIPS:



Team-work with students & staff

Communication with parents and key stake holders

Build positive relationships with local press, businesses and organisations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



Good working knowledge of modern Social Media

Microsoft Office Skills i.e. Mail Merge, Reports etc.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

An interest in photography

Creative Flare to ensure documentation is produced to a high standard

Excellent customer facing skills

Proactive and self-motivated

CONFIDENTIALITY


To understand the nature of this role and to ensure complete confidentiality of the details of all members of staff within appropriate reporting protocols to the Leadership Team.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT


The postholder will not be expected to undertake any physical effort/strain over and above what would normally be incurred in a day-to-day office environment.

Office based.

The postholder will be expected to undertake any appropriate training provided by the Trust to assist them in carrying out any of the above duties.

The postholder will be expected to contribute to the protection of children as appropriate, in accordance with any agreed policies and/or guidelines, reporting any issues or concerns to their immediate line manager.

Pay: 20,962.00-21,987.00 per year
