We have an exciting sales assistant and animal care position at Lincoln reptiles to cover 12 months maternity leave. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast paced, exciting reptile specialist. Work with a large range of different reptiles and tarantulas the job role encompasses everything from animal cleanliness and enclosure maintenance, handling, feeding, paperwork and admin and confidently selling a large and varying selection of reptiles and tarantulas in a fast paced but fun expanding business.

This would be a very rewarding and exciting career for the right applicant who is bright, approachable with a flexible attitude towards work. KNOWLEDGE AND NO FEAR OF REPTILES OR TARANTULAS IS ESSENTIAL.

It is essential that you are a team player and are also able to work under your own initiative. Communication and customer service is the foundation of our business and our success and the successful applicant it would be expected to help build upon this.

T?his is a temporary 12 month contract to cover maternity leave, with the ?possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate. Includes 6 month probation period.

We run a 5 week rolling rota and this role includes you working every weekend plus 2 set week days as shown below

Week 1- Wednesday, friday, Saturday, sunday

Week 2- Thursday, friday,Saturday, Sunday

Week 3- Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 4- Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week 5- Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

You may also be required to cover staff sickness and holidays.

We are looking for the successful applicant to start in August 2025 (exact date tbc) ?

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 28.5 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
